The short version

Newspaper For Kids is a fun side project I built for my kid and some friends. It isn't a company with a legal team, a support staff, or an uptime guarantee. I'm sharing it because people seemed to like it. Please use it with that in mind.

Grown-ups are in charge

Accounts are for parents and other adults, not kids. If you put this paper in front of kids, you do so at your own discretion. Please look it over before handing it to them, the same way you would with anything else they read.

Parts of each paper, like jokes, fun facts, recaps, and comics, are made with AI tools. Other parts come from outside sources such as sports and weather feeds. I try hard to keep it kid-friendly and accurate, but I can't promise every item will be correct or right for every family or every age.

No guarantees

The service is provided "as is." Papers might arrive late, have mistakes, or not arrive at all. Features may change, and I may pause or shut the project down. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any damages from using it. If you're paying and something goes wrong, email me and I'll make it right where I can.

What I collect

• Your email address and name.
• Your paper settings: the paper's name, time zone, delivery times, and what you enter into modules (like a favorite team or a weather location).
• If you join the waitlist, or try to sign up or log in without an account, your email (and name, if you gave one) plus anything you write about what you're looking for.
• Basic records of which papers were sent and opened.

I don't knowingly collect information from children. Please don't put your kids' personal details (like full names or schools) into the paper settings.

Who else touches your data

I use a few outside services to run this: a hosting and database provider, Resend to send email, Stripe for payments (I never see your card number), and AI providers to generate paper content. Some of your module settings may be sent to those AI providers to create your paper. I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for advertising.

Your choices

You can stop delivery at any time from your settings or with the unsubscribe link in any email. If you want your account and data deleted, email [email protected] and I'll take care of it.

Changes

If these terms change, I'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you're okay with the new terms.
